Division Projects
In my time as Technology Integration Specialist and especially since becoming a TIS Captain, I have taken on a variety of special projects ranging from launching new applications across the division to creating resource hubs to support division policies and initiatives.
Veracity: Technology Management System
To support the goals of Learning Environment and Safety, Security, and Privacy, our division needed a way to vet requested tools and easily share with staff and families our approved library of digital tools. I worked with our team within Technology Services, the Teaching, Learning, and Leadership Team, and Building Administrators to curate the list of currently approved applications. Then I partnered with Veracity’s team to build the library and request management process. I also created and shared related resources across the division to onboard staff and support them in using Veracity effectively.
Technology Resources for Staff
As part of the Technology Plan, the division needed a hub for all of the resources related to technology use in ACPS. Over the past two years, this Canvas Course has been updated to include a variety of resources for staff including: professional development opportunities, resources for each of our instructional technology tools, quick information on who to contact, and safety, security, and privacy policies. With guidance from the Director of Instructional Technology, I organized, cultivated, and created the resources within this course which are now used widely across the division.
Artificial Intelligence Resources
Once the AI Impact Team's Cohort finished, they needed a way to share their learning with the rest of the division. Working with the Director of Instructional Technology, I built the AI in ACPS resource course to house our policies, opportunities for staff and student learning, and ideas for practical application.

This year, all secondary staff were also trained more specifically on policies surrounding AI use within ACPS and ideas for integrating it responsibly in the classroom. I was able to work closely with both the Director of Instructional Technology and the Director of Online Learning to build this presentation and then presented it to staff with the rest of the secondary TIS team.
